1. Service Agreement
By accessing and using Shake Counselling services (website, programs, and therapeutic services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users including young people, parents, guardians, schools, and partner organizations.
2. Our Services
Shake Counselling provides youth mental health services including:
- Individual therapy and counselling for young people aged 12-25
- Group therapy sessions and peer mentoring programs
- Movement-based therapeutic approaches including basketball therapy
- School partnership programs and teacher training
- 9D Breathwork programs and wellness workshops
- NDIS support services and capacity building
- Crisis support and emergency consultations
3. Professional Standards
All Shake Counselling practitioners are:
- Registered mental health professionals with appropriate qualifications
- Current Working with Children Check holders
- Bound by professional codes of ethics and conduct
- Covered by professional indemnity insurance
- Committed to ongoing professional development and supervision
4. Confidentiality and Privacy
We maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with professional ethical guidelines and Australian privacy legislation. Information shared during therapeutic sessions is protected except where mandatory reporting requirements apply (child protection, serious harm risks). 5. Consent and Participation
For young people under 18:
- Parent/guardian consent is required for all services
- Young people must provide their own assent to participate
- Either party may withdraw consent at any time
- Emergency situations may require immediate intervention without prior consent
6. Fees and Payment
Service fees are agreed upon prior to commencement and may be covered by NDIS funding, private health insurance, or private payment. Cancellation policies apply to all appointments. Financial difficulties should be discussed with our team to explore available options.
7. Website and Digital Services
Our website provides information, resources, and contact forms for service inquiries. By submitting forms or downloading resources, you consent to follow-up communication from our team. All website content is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality services, Shake Counselling cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Australian law. In crisis situations, please contact emergency services (000) or mental health crisis services.
9. Complaint Resolution
We are committed to addressing any concerns about our services. Complaints can be made directly to our service coordinator and will be handled according to our complaints policy. External complaint mechanisms are available through professional registration bodies.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Significant changes will be communicated to current clients and posted on our website with updated effective dates.
